"Hair, Long Beautiful Hair"

My hair isn't long, but I used to love that song. Kind of an odd topic, but is anyone going gray now? Geez, I started going gray in my mid-20's. I've already gone gray, completely. I colored it once, and she did a pretty good job getting it back to its reddish brown that it used to be. It really isn't curly anymore . . . it's gotten wavy over the years. I've given up on coloring it because I have gotten so many compliments, from women, about how they like my hair. I kinda know what they mean. I was in Wal-Mart a few years back, and saw a woman with long hair down to the middle of her back; completely gray, and absolutely beautiful, and so was she. To my misfortune, I have never seen her again. If I did, I'd supplicate, fall to my knees, and disembowel myself as a man asking for her hand in marriage. There's a Sam Kinison joke somewhere in there. So that's what's been on my mind. Oh, for what it's worth, my dad, pushing 80, has barely a gray hair on his head.

I always got a kick out of that tune as a kid. I think it influenced my long hair style in the 70's.

Oh say can you see.... my eyes if you can then my hair's too short. Let it fly in the breeze, and get caught in the trees....Give a home to the fleas..
