| The "Lunatic" is spewing lies about is actually is the Government WebPage that the dealers have to log on to track the Rebates, not the page that the General Public can log on to check out the rebate progeam.
Once again "fear tactics" to fuel the conspiracy theorists that "Big Brother Obama" is taking over everyone's personal information. Wasn't it just a couple of years ago everyone was up in arms about "W's Administration" doing un warranted wiretaps on civilian phones, intercepting e-mails and logging your internet usage to prevent terrorist attacks?
How soon the "Mentally Derranged" forget about those gross volations of our rights as US Citizens that were propogated by the previous Adminstration!

| Slider, you poor naive human, you are so enthralled in the fact that your precious Obama is going to swoop in and cure all your ills, that you've lost your ability to think for yourself. If you had bothered to view all of the above links in their entirety, you would see that your beloved current Administration is using the same spy tactics set in place by the previous Administration that you hate. I guess it's ok with you to have your Constitutional Rights infringed upon as long as long as the guy in charge is promising you hand-outs... | |

Actually, Beck was raising objections to the wiretaps. Unfortunately, there is no radio station in Hays that carries his program and at that time, his TV show was on Headline News, which nobody watches.

Nope, once again you have ASSumed wrong. You missed the point of my statement entirely. I was merely commenting on the fact that they are doing the same thing as the Bush/Rove/Cheney led dumbass Administration that preceded them. A lot of things that are in direct violation of our Constitutionly guaranteed rights.
FYI - I don't like the current President just as I didn't like the "Puppet in Charge" for the last eight years. Never voted for either of them. We are stuck with him just like we were with "W"

| Everyone knows that the real people in charge were under the Cheney/Rove leadership. Ex Staffers have come out to expose some of the "Puppet Masters" who were pulling the strings of "W". Nobama has his own set of people "orchestrating" the moves he is proposing. If you don't think that is how big Goverment works, then you my friend are just as naive.
Just look at how the "Medical Lobbyists" are throwing Millions of Dollars to derail any type of Healthcare Reform. Democracy is action, no just business as usual on the Hill!

Yup, Insurance companies are hiring thousands of people to infiltrate town hall meetings to try to derail the Administration because Americans have no idea how to form their own ideas.....

| No, they are Capitol Hill lining the pockets of the Members of Congress with Campaign Contributions in exchange for their reluctance to work on,vote on and just plain stall the "Socialists in Charge."
I guess you are just to dense to pay attention to what is really going on. Even the Gods of Talk Radio are expounding upon how the "Medical Industry Lobby" is spending over a million dollars a day to kill the Health Care Reform for this country.
You guys must not be listening as close as you think you are to your Gods!

What would you do? If the Government decided it wanted to wipe out YOUR business and your means to support your family, would you fight back by any means necessary or would you just sit back and hope for the best?

| The greedy bastards have screwed the citizens of this Country and lined their pockets long enough thanks to their paying off Politicians to let them monopolize the Health Care Industry as a whole.
It's time the people, including all of the business owners they have swindled and screwed out of the trillions of dollars over the years get a fighting chance and a choice.
One again you are spewing the Republicant's talking points, the Democrats up in Washington are no better. The whole lot of them need to be booted out with all of the Lobbyists. Let the people's voices be heard again instead of the money brokers buying their influence for the bastards.

| The peoples' voices have been heard- and they're siding with the devil they know over the devil they don't know. Can't say I blame them.
IMO, these assorted socialization schemes will only add ANOTHER layer of regulation and protection from competition to an industry that's ALREADY insulated from any real competition (I'll elaborate on this if anybody is curious... but I doubt ya'll are).
Now... that isn't to say that the VAST majority of rhetoric I hear in opposition to Obama's (rather vague) proposals is anything but hyperbole, half-truths, conspiracy theory, and outright fabrication. It's kinda disgusting AND fascinating to watch one of our most PROTECTED (from competition) industries being defended in the name of capitalism & free markets ('cause the medical industry is anything BUT a 'free market'). But hey- it's plain to see that they've won. Time for the Democrats to move on or suffer a repeat of 1994. I personally don't care a whole lot what they do.
BTW- I just can't bring myself to watch Glen Beck. The man is Short Bus material... he'd fit right in around here. Matter of fact if I didn't know better, I'd think he was a Wellbrock. He has that look.

| "End of life plan for each American citizen ordered by the government (page 429)" Um... just looked at that one recently and what you're saying that says is completely different than what it says. All the bill says is that Medicare will have to reimburse practitioners for end of life counseling sessions. They may bill for this every 5 years, or more if the health of the patient changes. In other words, your doctor will be able to be reimbursed for a visit in which you want to talk to him about living wills, pain management, or many other considerations that come with end of life care(like if you have terminal cancer). Prior to this, that would have been paid out of pocket by the patient. Check The Consumerist for a bit more info if you wish. Scare tactics are resorted to when you can't come up with anything real to complain about. | |

I have serious doubts about it to say the least. But a good 90% of the arguments I've heard against it have been wildly exaggerated, deliberately misconstrued, or just plain false. That's because this sort of thing sells- it's fun and interesting... gets people riled up. These people don't CARE what the truth of the matter is. They've already been told what their opinion is going to be. No need to look any further into it..

Kool-Aid Fear Tactics my ass... This is just one of two Bills that have not yet become the final product. You can unclinch your buttcheeks nitro, you're going to crap a diamond out pretty soon!
Any thing that ever comes out of this will have to be negoiated between the two version of the Health Care Plan, House and Senate will stew over this for months ..... what you are crying about now may never see the light of day ... I'd bet the ranch it isn't in the final draft if it ever gets to that stage.
Cry me a river over the "scare tactics" being used by the Republicant's and their unlimited money machine .. the Health Care Industry.

I know numerous females who got "the change of life consultation" (menopause) and i have had more than a few for my changing health condition. you wanna let someone else make your end of life care decisions, or even yourself, without being fully informed; please do so. But please don't come on here with your paranoid soylent green rubbish scaring folks out of helping themselves so big insurance and big pharma can jingle jangle more coins in their piggy pockets. makes you look foolish. especially since most of you naysayers spent the last 8 years poo pooing the worries of the imperial president conspirators and you now say it has come to be...

i like how EP gets to throw around the word "cocksucker" in this family forum but mikecc gets banned 4 using vulgaraties. oh... but there was other stuff too, of which none of us were privy to... and we shouldnt worry about it because it was bad and the "moderators" said so... funny tho'... moderators seem to hold all of the power, and they sorta do, they can ban anyone they like. even me. but like my mother always told me, the consumer really has all of the power. they can choose to walk away and never come back too. and that leaves the "moderators" with what they have. an occassionally viewed website by an average of 13ish.....

| Mike didn't get banned so much for language, but messing with the site owners. It's like a bar. You can be a jackass, sometimes even to the bouncers. But the owner will always toss you if you try to screw them around. | |

| The mods have somewhat limited power. The real power is in the admin position. It is called ownership. | |
