Reel-to-Reel to CD.

Greetings,

I want to transfer a reel-to-reel recording to a CD. The reel-to-reel deck is part of a stereo system. Then there is my laptop. I'm used to the standard RCA/Motorola audio jacks. But my laptop has numerous USB ports, an S-Video port, a 1394 port, and a port or two which I don't recognize. Any help would be much appreciated.

If the stereo has RCA's out, you can use this.

you should be able to record to your laptop using a 1/8 mic plug into the mic port of the laptop and for the connection to the reel-to-reel I am guess it would need a 1/4 plug . then all you have to do is record into the sound recorder program in windows
