Don't poke the bear.....

Everytime I see this emoticon it reminds me an expression a friend of mine uses.
"Don't poke the bear" So I figured I would place a thread on that subject for his amusement, now that he has decided to join us. Enjoy Mr. You-know-who-I-mean..... this ones for you

I've never heard the expression "don't poke the bear" ... I guess its something like "You mess with the bull-you get the horns"
Which emoticon would fit that phrase best?----> or

"Never poke a mean bear with a short stick." It means DON'T BE STUPID! ----Japanese Admiral Yamamoto poked a mean bear with a short stick when he engineered the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. Soon after the attack, the Japanese were celebrating their great victory having sunk and damaged so many U.S. ships in the early morning raid. To this the Admiral lamented, "I believe that all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill it with a terrible resolve."

I'm not sure Yamamoto actually said that. A show I saw once said war historians aren't sure what he said if anything, and I'm not sure if they made up their minds since. But it made for a cool ending to Tora Tora Tora.

Aw hell... who cares if it's true?
