| A news story tonight says new crash tests show that you have a greater chance of being killed if you are in a smaller compact car and hit head on with a mid sized car. Why didn't they just ask any kindergarten class which car they'd rather be in instead of wasting money on a study? | |

| What burns my butt is the assclowns who made this grand revelation probably make several times my wages for doing a crash study that a slow witted chimpanze could figure the answer to. | |

| I remember reading in the paper once about a person driving a Geo Metro car and went left of center head on into a semi. They felt the need to say that the person in the car was not wearing his seat belt and died in the accident. The person in the semi was wearing his seat belt and sustained minor injuries. Gee, ya think they would have lived even if they were wearing a seat belt? | |

| Many years ago, I was in a head on crash between my 1967 Plymouth Fury and a 1978 Ford Pinto.
I think I won. | |

I think I won. Did the poor little Pinto survive? The sixties era Plymouths Fury's were about 3000 lbs. of rolling Detroit steel.

Yeah, that's stupid. Kind of like having someone put on safety glasses before you put a sledge hammer into their face. It's pretty rare to survive a head on with a big truck unless you're in a bigger truck. The seat belt just holds you in place while you go under the truck and get your head ripped off.
