Jimmy Johns is set to open sometime this month, don't know anything about Jimmy Chons.

when I first read the thread title I thought a new oriental foods place was opening

I judge it by their Ruben....a huge fail for whiskey creek. or the philly steak. you really got to know how to build theese samwiches.

I assume you mean the Kirby House. Awesome food, we used to eat there all the time when I lived in that part of the state.

I ate at Jimmy Johns earlier tonight. It was ok, just another sandwich place to me. I do have one effect from eating there, I have really bad gas now.

I have been desiring a Brookville Hotel supper. I liked the Kirby House, too.

Didn't care for it at all. My kids wouldn't even eat theirs. Bread was hard...and they have no hot sammies.

I dont understand why Hays has another "sub" place anyhow. You'd think that Subway, Goodcents and Quizno's have the sub business covered.

I ate there the other nite. The bread had a hard crust on it,kinda different but a good sandwich nonetheless. I will go back.

We ate their friday night and enjoyed it, of course we've eaten it before and knew what to expect and they didn't disappoint.

Oh and they kind of have a slogan:

No Soup, No Salad, No Hot - Just sandwiches fast


Some will probably not like the bread (pretty much only one choice and not the 5 you get at Subway), but I like the model, you get what you get and if you don't like it, go somewhere else. This has been a successful franchise, so it must work.

We have also eaten there a couple times. We like it. Like lilchefed said, you don't have the 5 choices of bread, but it is good.
