(Does my best Jimmy Swaggart impersonation) Waaaa Forgive me "blubber" For I have sinned. "sniff blubber" Waaaaa I didn't sing kumbaya and hold hands with the entire planet boo hoo hoo.... If you want to know what's rediculously asinine it's comparing opinions that don't happen to fit your way of thinking here to the callous bastards that would expect this dead woman's family to pay rent on such stupid grounds.

| Well you know suzy, it's quite a leap to compare our sarcastic humor and jabs around here with some asswipe that'd charge a man extra rent on the grounds his dead wife didn't give notice to vacate.
I was just watching an interview with Larry The Cable Guy and I think he summed it up perfectly when asked if he thought political correctness has gone too far. He said he thought it was time alot of individuals pull the thumb out of the mouth, grow up a little, and realize there's alot more important things to worry about than what kind of joke some comedian tells.
There's a whole world full of caustic humor and toxic opinions. Life ain't Mr. Rogers neighborhood and the peculiar belief that everyone is supposed to be protected from ever being hurt or offended is one of this nations biggest problems.

Quite often the so-called "humor" on this place is downright vitriolic hate. There's nothing funny about it, nor is it even close to the realm of "spirited debate" that really should be taking place. While I do agree somewhat with the last statement, I also think that if people exercised their ability to see things from another persons viewpoint, this world would be a far better place. That ability seems to be sorely lacking in Hays, Kansas, and on this forum.

Should everyone change because because you don't get that warm, squishy feeling every time you visit this site? I think the Admins have everything under control, but thank you for your input.

| I get tired of people coming on here and doggin' the forum (and the people who post here), too. Why give more ammunition, though, in the way we choose to respond? | |

One persons humor is anothers hate. And so long as you don't physcally harm someone it's not illegal to dislike them either. - CelticDragon wrote:

I try to see things from the other persons viewpoint. I try to analyze situations as much as I can before commenting. But in the case of many I encounter their opinion is so absurd it will be impossible to see things from their viewpoint. Could you relate to a man that is only sexually attracted to dogs? Or a less drastic example might be the idea that whites owe blacks for wages the slaves should have made. It's a known fact that alot of the slaves were sold to the white traders by other blacks who had captured them in tribal wars. Yet the blacks who expect those of us who never owned a slave to take responsibility for it never mention the fact that their own black brothers played a part in slavery. There is never mention of that fact that even the poorest of blacks in the US often have access to far better health care than if they were still in Africa. There is no mention of the fact that many Africans do not have running water, electricity, or a TV set to see their impoverished black American counterparts complain on. The ultra wealthy Oprah and Cosby, the millionaire rap stars, actors, sports figures, and successful black businessmen had a much greater chance of accomplishing that in the US. And now a black man is in the White House. But that is never considered in the argument. So why should I care what their side of the story is when they only wish to focus on bitterness and the expectation of a free handout for what their great great grandparents went through 150 years ago? There are so many nowdays who expect to be treated as if they are something special. Blacks, gays, feminists, this religion, that religion, illegal immigrants etc. They expect to be able to say what they want, get what they want, but at someone elses expense. Tell me why I should bow down and act all happy amidst this stupidity?
