| My buddy Chuck said he heard this afternoon on the news that an older man had been arrested for putting a pipe bomb in someones truck????? Said they had him on tape at True Value Hardware buying the stuff??? I have heard nothing????? | |

| Estes igniters go a long way. When I blew my bomb, my good friend was in my car taping the whole thing with the window down just far enough . . . long since erased . . . I was out in the field, laying flat on the ground. Dirt clods still came into the car . . one of them hit him in his nuts . . I never expected that, but I laughed my ass off. We didn't want to hurt anybody . . . we just wanted to have some booming fun. God, I was a fucking idiot. | |

Sounds fun. But in today's world, if I had done any such thing as a kid, then I sure as hell wouldn't put it in writing. And neither would I spell out the technical details. But I will say that several dumbasses have been killed while making such devices by getting powder on the threads and inadvertently crushing & igniting it when screwing on the cap. One would've needed to be careful as a kid. | |
