- Just curious, peg. Why not just a high protein dog food. Isn't that better for them?
10 year old malamute has pancreatitis/incontinence issues. Both are helped by diet of brown rice, raw hamburger & green beans. Sometimes eggs, cheese. Dog food of any kind, bread, pork, poultry, all make her drip, drip, drip. Interesting. Thanks, Peg. | |

| I think anything that can be cooked with beef can be cooked with deer. We usually process our own deer meat. Way cheaper and tastes just the same! My hubby made some awesome deer steaks the other night from the deer I shot the day before. We are going to wait until him and his other brother get their deer then we will have a lot more deer meat on hand. | |

| Our son shot two smaller does, not much meat. Where do you get your meat processed Slick? We took ours to Wakeeney and it was pretty pricey, not by the pound by any means. We got pepper sticks, the rest were chops, roast, steak and burger. | |

| Wakeeney was $125 per deer and then more for the pepper sticks. It was a little under $300. I guess not too bad. Can't remember from year's past. | |
