| Well, I have to drive to Wichita on Thursday to find out what a surgery I'm going to need for 48-years of fat-ass; for a bad left ankle. I thank you all for recs, which were numerous from many long-time posters. Daily, from Salina, recommended Fanning, from Wichita. He only does feet and ankles. I want to go back to Daily, since Wichita-guy will probably have less problem with SBSC. Ugh . . . I don't know at this point . . | |

Didn't go, but the rebuke I have received from my high school friends, I damn well should have. I guess there were people who actually wanted to see me.

| I hope all goes well with your surgery, SciFi! A niece of mine had surgery on one of her ankles in Wichita, too (don't know the dr. name), and you'd never know she had anything done. | |

| Damn SciFi, I never figured you'd miss the big 30 reunion. I've never been to one yet, but next year my class is at the 30 mark. I hope someone lets me know when it'll be because since I didn't finish with them I don't get notified. | |

You might check the HHS website, RZ. There's an alumni link somewhere. Even though you didn't finish with them you might be able to find some contact information. Good luck!

Ratz-you can also join classmates.com and they will usually have someone on there telling you when stuff happens. I didn't graduate either, but that's how I got on the mailing list from my old high school.

I have heard similar statements; bunch of them. Used to be we had people come to Hays for the doctors here. Shit, I would jump at the chance to have had Dr. Earl Carlson do my surgery. Way too far past retirement now, though. I would have driven to Wichita just to see him.

| Thanks for the reunion info SciFi and Slumbergirl.
SciFi, I agree that the docs here used to be considered pretty good at their craft, though for some reason alot of them were grumpy old farts kinda like Doc on Gunsmoke. Maybe all those years of watching patients do stupid things to themselves made em grouchy. Too bad all those old timers are gone.
