While there are those out there abusing the system, I don't believe they are as numerous as you obviously do. Don't be telling me "I know someone who..." because if you do, then you are abusing the system by not reporting them if they are.

I would not say that "most" is a factual statement. I currently know a total of 6 individuals currently recieving either SSI or SSD and only ONE of the six actually deserves it and it took him 5 years to get it, even though he had PILES of medical reports backing up his condition. The other 5 are quite capable of working, but see no reason to when they are getting a free ride.

Also FYI your comment on reporting people that abuse the system made me LOL hard. Where is it that you live that the policy of reporting these people actually works?
