Obama Hits New Low With Attack Ad

The Messiah has spoken. Barack Obama released a new Spanish language ad today that claims John McCain is in lockstep with a Rush Limbaugh comedy bit on the issue of illegal immigration. This would be fine and dandy if it were true. The facts are this:

1. The Limbaugh quote taken out of context in the ad was part of a parody. It also refers to immigration laws that are on the books in Mexico.

2. John McCain was a supporter of the Immigration Reform Act that failed to pass Congress last year. Rush Limbaugh opposed the bill. No matter which side you aggree with, it's impossible to be truthful and say that they are one in the same.

3. This ad paints McCain as a bigot. It comes from a candidate who pledged earlier this year that he would never stoop to this level to try to win the election.

4. Obama decries negative ads from McCain. It was reported today that 77% of Obama's ads are negative compared to 56% of McCain's. Hmmm....
