Snow storm

Does anyone know why Hays did/does not have their crews out clearing side streets after Monday's storm? They are a total mess!

So, they can't pick up trash, they are not reading meters, they are not out clearing snow, what are they doing this entire week? Do they take vacation time, or do we just pay them to do nothing? Just wondering.

Ain't it a mess? It's not only miserable to ride on but it's a safety risk driving on that crap. And what happened to ordinances about snow on sidewalks? I saw several pedestrians walking inches from traffic on 13th street because sidewalks weren't cleared.

Cross a line with a beer at Octoberfest and you're a criminal, but they don't seem to give a shit about "real" public safety.

I know they used to plow the side streets after the snow stopped and the emergency snow routes were cleared. This storm they barely cleared the snow routes, Tuesday when I went to work at 4:00pm. Indian Trail, an emg snow route street was still a total mess as well.

Is it the city manager trying to save money? Maybe his bonus check is based on his numbers! I think more people need to voice their opinions and hope it changes.

But really!!! what are all the city employees doing all week? Just saying.

Oh, and as far as the beer, not only at Octoberfest, even though that is when they are the worst. You can't even walk home from a bar and they arrest you for public intoxication, just for walking. I know several people who have been fined for such. Like you are really going to hurt someone walking with a few drinks in you. Thats Bull Shit.

Seems it's come down to what they can make money off of you for is more important than community service.

The side roads just off Vine were a mess on Thursday.
