The loathsome Westboro Baptist Church (WBC), best known for "protesting" the funerals of U.S. soldiers with signs saying "God hates fags" and "God hates America," staged another "protest" on August 13th, this time of the Jewish Federation. Presumably, the Federation's sin is being Jewish

I just read that these cocksuckers (sorry, nb, but no other word fits unless it invokes a form of the "f" bomb) were going to protest at the vigil for Alicia DeBolt in Great Bend tonight. Did anyone on here attend? If so, did the people at the vigil ignore these sick bastards?

Just heard that a large group of counter-protestors met Fred's Freaks when they arrived in Great Bend. Someone threw a brick through their van window and was arrested. There were 40 people waiting at the police station to bail him out before the cops even got him there. He made it back before the vigil began.

Didn't say I like the Phelps brand of hypocrisy. The guy is a useless maggot of society. But I have to assume any girl that age going to a party with an adult male is probably not the purest in the pack. At least the girls I've know who were attending parties at that age also had other reputations. You don't have to like or support someone to admit they have a point though. This is one of those cases where you might listen to the message, but shoot the messenger.

My 14 year old son is not allowed to go to parties at night with adults of either sex and I'm no saint.

There's alot of rumors coming out of Great Bend that there may be a gang connection to this. Wouldn't surprise me. The whole thing sounds more like a gang related type thing. Most killers prefer to try to hide victims or dump them in very desolate places. This was too radical, and in a place too well traveled to strike me as being the typical killer. It was like they wanted her found and maybe were making a statement with the burning.

My first thought was maybe she PO'd some older girl or girls by moving in on their men. That or the rumor it was a gang initiation both seem possible.

I think everyone is aware of that EP. I have no idea exactly what happened. I do however, think there's something a little more unusual going on in this case.
