At least I won't be dragging a polycart through a 4 foot drift this time.

No!!!!! It can't snow until after I make it to Hays on Christmas. I don't want to be stuck home alone in Lawrence for Christmas!!!!!

I am disappointed that the weather is going to be like this. We have family that is supposed to travel in on Thursday night, and I am supposed to go get my kids on Friday morning. Not to mention that I have a friend that is due to have her baby any day now and doctors in Hays - so she is having to go stay in Hays until the weather is clear. I don't mind a little bit of snow, but for it to make travel impossible really sucks.

I just figure there isn't much we can do about the weather so I might as well enjoy it for what it is. Same goes for the heat, just gotta make the best out of what it is.

Yeah i'm stuck here in KC through Christmas, working late on Christmas eve and then have to work early the day after. I will be making the journey out west Sunday night. I will be in a mini vacation next week.

The Supreme Commandress, myself, THOR, and his White Bitch will ride the storm out on Wednesday. My sources tell me that this won't amount to much- at least not 'til Wednesday night.

Expect the average IQ of Hays to surge briefly sometime around early/mid afternoon.

We're hoping to leave tomorrow rather than Wednesday so that can spend Christmas with the family in Hays. However, I would not be entirely crushed by a Christmas in KC instead. We'll see how the car repair goes tomorrow!

I'll be watching the Ghost Hunters marathon. Ok, I admit I'll probably watch "A Christmas Story" once out of the 24 hours it's on.

Damn, they're predicting possible freezing drizzle now. If it's gotta snow I wouldn't mind a couple inches or so with no ice or wind.

I've packed coveralls, tire chains, a tow strap, and two shovels. Nothing short of 3-foot drifts will stop me.

thats just part of winter, not much I can do about it to change it either way. I figure I will just stay in where it's warm and not add to any traffic problems

I was just being sarcastic anyways. I guess how one feels about winter depends on how it affects them. Some hate the warm months because of weather, bugs, and assorted problems caused by heat. Just a matter of perspective.

In reality, nationwide rain/wet roads account for more accidents than ice, probably only because some of the largest population centers rarely have ice. But in KS frozen precipitation causes many times more accidents than rain.

I accept winter means cold, snow, and ice. But at my age I just can't find a reason to like it anymore.

you could always get involved in a community snowball fight, but then some cop would show up and pull his gun and ruin the fun for everyone.

Didnt some local store (Riddles or something) Have a sale that said if we got an inch of snow at Christmas your purchases were free? Or did I dream that?

We made it safely to hays! And I think that it was kuhns that had the snow sale!!!

i like the "bad" weather. would be nice if it didn't bring death with it, but you can't have it all. lol

I could do without the ice we're predicted to get Thursday morning. The snow doesn't bother me. I always look forward to shoveling it.

already fatality accidents in nw ks because of this storm.... I HATE SNOW!

Sounds like the worst is over for now. So far the accidents in Ellis Co. have been non-injury. Hope this improvement in the forecast means the roads will be clear and dry later.
