I didn't complain about Bush wanting to listen to terrorists phone calls. I complained that what Bush called terrorists were what I called drug dealers, cathouses, casinos, and pornographers.

Since we now have a democrat in office surrounded by some of the worst leftists in our times I'm sure the definition of terrorist will now become any white man with a gun.

I don't entirely disagree with you there. And the majority of these white men with guns are among the Republicans who pushed for ever-increasing police powers in the name of 'fighting terrorism'. Now it's gonna be used against them. Who'da thought.

Not saying it's right... just that this is an OBVIOUS outcome that many were too stupid or short-sighted to see.

From my experience, the majority of white guys with guns were not happy about increased wiretap etc., and were suspicious. But I will agree that alot of conservative types were just too trusting that it wouldn't effect them. I'm sure the Limbaugh worshippers were taken in, but quite a few mostly conservative guys I know agreed with me that you don't need to take rights away from, or invade the privacy of US citizens to deal with terrorists who are not citizens and in our opinion have zero rights in this country.
