Went to this tonight and it was freaking wicked awesome! SO going again. Being a fan of the original series, TNG & DS9 I didnt think they could pull it off but it's outstanding. There is literally not a single part of the movie that something isnt going on.

Now c'mon, Shatner is as iconic as the show itself. I rather enjoyed the part he played in the series and movies. And then there is always this classic performance....

I think it all has to do with age. I grew up with Star Trek and Lost In Space. You guys are from the Star Wars era. Star Trek began with a series that was pretty good for it's day in television. Star Wars began with a movie with big budget special effects. They are both good in their own way.
