| Hays is a little late in my opinion. One of the biggest Ellis County has had was a March tornado that was up to a mile wide. And the Hesston big one was early March. Here's a history of known killer storms in KS. Note the 1896 Palmer tornado was thought to be nearly 2 miles wide and Codell was hit in 1916, 1917, and 1918, so the recent wild weather is nothing new. http://www.tornadochaser.com/torhist3.htm |

When I lived in Salina in the late 60's and early 70's, there was a tornado. I was about 4, it's nice to know that no one died in that one. I always wondered because so much of our neighborhood was completely gone. _________________ Afterism (n) - A concise, clever statement you don't think of until it's too late. -- John Alexander Thom

I always had a strage feeling driving by those empty lots. |

| Okay, there were driveways with no houses. Trees and grass... maybe a few wild flowers and weeds. |
