Gambino's is expanding to Hays. It ain't Olive Garden, but according to this article, they have pasta.

Kinda my thought too. Oh Boy!! like now we'll have 101 places to go stuff our faces. Rolling Eyes How about things we don't have already? And no I don't mean a pizza, taco, steak, or ice cream place with a different name. Don't ya'll do anything besides try to increase the size of your waistlines?

Maybe a big hobby store, another drive in theater, a Cabela's. Organize a "big" weekly flea market. Something different than resturants and dusty dirty car races in this county would be nice.

What surprises me is that arcade places and places for kids to hang out don't last long around here. I guess the golf place is still open.

The golf place has a bar. Different demographic.

Another thing is that a kid who takes several tries to figure out an arcade game will spend their money way faster than a kid who can't get the golfball in the cup. It's way easier for kids to share each others video games at their homes, but few parents have the money to install miniature golf courses.

I agree with Suzy. It just isn't that good. Lamatos (sp?) makes a damn good pizza. I'll admit, if Gambinos has pasta, I have never tried it. I don't know why they would want to move to Hays. I also agree with RZ, why in the Hell they would want to expand to Hays is beyond me.

I loved the drive-in theater. I used to take my dad's pickup and park so that the bed was facing the screen. Then we would set up our lawn chairs in the bed of the pickup, smoke pot, and drink beer, and watch the movie. It was a blast.

Speaking of old theaters, I just watched a show in 11 parts on Youtube that I havn't seen since it showed at the Fox back in around 1968 or 69 called "Journey To The Beginning Of Time" about 4 boys who start in the Natural History Museum and end up going back through time in a rowboat. Funny how I had forgot most of the movie but still remembered the scene where the rowboat gets smashed almost perfect.

Thought about that damn show dozens of times over the years and just finally decided to look for it. But as to the Drive In, yeah it was the best theater during the summer. So much went on besides just the movie.

Wasn't it Gambino's that they used to have in Stockton? I ate there once when I had to spend the night at the Owl Motel. I agree, Suzy. It sucked.

There used to be one here, in my tiny town, but the franchise fee became impossible to afford, so the people who owned it, kept it open without the Gambino's name. The one that was in Perry, dropped the franchise, too... because of cost.

I can't get past the Lamato's commercial. The guy is slinging the dough around in the air without gloves and his long beard and hair are not protected. It's pretty gross looking to me.

That facial hair is what gives Lomato's pizza their unique taste. It makes you wonder how clean those hand are and what they were handling before he tossed that dough in the air.

That's so you can floss the same time you're eating the pizza! What a GREAT marketing ploy!

I'm thinking the gloves are only required for foods that are ready to eat. I noticed that commercial and a few others also.

They never wear gloves on the TV cooking shows.

Pretty subjective topic, I'll admit. My friends and I liked Big Cheese a lot.

Big Cheese pizza was awesome. I wish they could have stayed up here but nothing seemed to work in that building until it turned into a liquor store.

Make that liquor store that sells mattresses out the back door.
