Small kittens won't always understand the hunter prey thing. And the mouse might bite them if they try to play but aren't aggressive enough. Try a nice fat grasshopper first. They'll have a ball with it.

Or, try a June bug. Our kitten loves batting them around! Added benefit for him, they're really crunchy! Mmmmm! Laughing
